    Re: importing photoshop files

For oversized graphics you'd have to apply the Avid Pan and Zoom fx.  Your pict file import will act as link

to the original pict on the desktop

    Re: importing photoshop files

In addition to mvegas suggestion I would mention Moving Picture from Stage Tools. I prefer this plug-in compared to the Avid Pan & Zoom for many reasons, specially for rendering time, "plug-in" (software) interface etc...

    (up to 4000X4000 pixels)

Also "Move" from Profound FX  is a very good plug-in, but takes longer to render. Has drop shadow feature on alpha channel which lacks on Moving Picture

    (up to 64000x64000 pixels)

Does alpha follow with Pan and Zoom?

I also use After Effects for this purpose. Not sure about the other apps, but the advantage I get using AE is that I can make the layer into a 3D layer and then add lighting effects if needed.

Moving Picture and Move use the alpha channel
