    applying efx to titles

All of the thread links in the archived forum regarding applying efx to titles are dead. Any new links?

I've tried copying and pasting the title tracks as a matte fill key to work around the matte being locked on a title key- this doesn't help when appling a glow effect.

Saphire efx can be applied by a 3 step process -make rgb, effect, layer. But you can't apply a risize or 3d move.

To be able to apple a resize or 3d move, promote your title to a 3d efx. Goto efx mode select your title in the sequence and in the bottom right hand corner of the efx editor you will see a button w/ a box inside label 3d. That will let you do the 3d moves and resize.

You can apply BCC fx to titles and use the geometry control that accompanies them, see the help file that comes with them it is quite streight forward.

Step into your title and you can replace the grphic fill element of the title and apply effects to the fill, render and then step out.

    Astroman:

You can apply a BCC effect to a title clip by simply dragging the BCC effect on top of the title clip, then in the effects editor select "apply to title matte" and de-select "opaque source" so your background will be there as well.

So far the only BCC effect I applied that had an Opaque Source option was Gaussian Blur and deselecting it didnt help.

Steping into an effect and applying blur or glow to a fill doesn't blur or glow a title, just the fill. Copying the title and re inserting it to unlock the matte and then applying a glow to both the matte and fill doesn't work either although this will work for a blur effect.

My fault! The BCC effects can be applied directly without using alt. I'm used to alt dragging my Saphire effects to get them to apply.
