• Cmd-F "Find" function not working in 2018.12

I also posted this on Creative Cow. We are on Avid 2018.12 on shared storage and the search function is not longer working. The issue started with the Search Error: SQL could not be executed... very long error message. I attempted a few fixes, created a new user, deleted the MCState, and deleted the Search_DB for the system that was having issues. I

Hi Marianna, I'm getting some more bugs on the 2018.12 version. I'm the AE, and my boss is having issues on his system. System is Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6, 16 GB ram. Working off graids, doing a lot of multicam and ediitng groups. Multiple video tracks. His sequence has been duplicating his V2 track so he has two V2 tracks. Avid is duplicating

  • Re: MC 2018.12 is here! New: Titler+, shaped-based color, etc!

Been using this upgrade all week, and I AM IN LOVE with the group editing function. It works so well, the sequences are updated without issue, amazing. Thank you. That being said, my boss is having some issues that I wanted to throw out there. Multiple video tracks? His sequence has been duplicating his V2 track so he has two V2 tracks. Avid is duplicating

  • Re: Avid MC 8.9 changes clip length in sequence when relinking

I find decomposing to be more reliable when it comes to prepping for online. If you don't go through the decompose steps, Avid will be a little fickle with relinking. Sometimes it won't relink to high resolution clips when you are already linked to low resolution, unless you unmount the offline drives. You spend a long time relinking to online

  • Avid MC 8.9 changes clip length in sequence when relinking

Having a very strange issue that has been causing me grief during our uprez. I take my editor's offline finished sequence, mix it down for a reference layer. Decompose all clips and overcut the video reference on the top layer. Then I relink to the online drive, which already has some high resolution media. Many different frame rates on this show
until 7.0.4, no MC 7 version was tested with Mavericks.
When we bought Avid, 7.0.3 had been approved on OS X 10.9.1 but NOT 10.9.2, so that's why we've stuck with 9.1 so far. Glad to know the updates for both are available, and I'll try upgrading both and let you know how it goes. [quote user
while I'm not sure what KHerring's Console says, the one from the OP does seem to show different tracks with a mix of frame rates
Interesting! No, same frame rates here. Same format, unique tape names... I'm even grouping by source timecode, so there's no chance for aux TC weirdness. More
When I double clicked on the multigroup to load it into the source monitor I got this error: MonPane::SetComposition(): Internal error occurred trying to load composition into the monitor. See the console for more information.
Same exact problem here! Console looks pretty much the same. Hoping someone has
