Thank you. How to colour-code your source clips? DC

  • Re: How many audio panels?

Brilliant, thank you. As a work-around, can I keep some unique audio on one track only, therefore put the five plug-ins on that track, and all other audio (in a relatively simple edit) place on newly-createrd audio tracks? Is there anything inherently/technically wrong with this approach? D.

  • Re: How many audio panels?

Oh sh*t! I just realised something (that you kinda said earlier but I hadn't thought it through). A plug-in affects the whole track, which includes anything else on there. Because mine is a relatively simply piece-to-camera I hadn't thought through the sfx as part of the book-ending titles. In short, how to make the (workflow of) plug-ins work

  • Colour correction method

Hi, If, say, you edit a sequence together from uncorrected footage, can you then cc one edit and translate that to all other edits from that footage? Same again for later-treated audio? Thanks, DC

Thanks. I'm watching tutorials and, overall, great. One amongst many, what about Dither, what is its function? I get its information-retrieving capacities, but grasp at, not quite getting it, its real-world applicability. Should I use Dither on a simple piece-to-camera? Is it a habit worth getting into? It goes on the master fader? D. Ps, I don't

Yikes! I'm not going down the ADR route for several reasons. Thanks for the general advice, and I'm watching now a Pro Tools tutorial on Channel Strip. Still, would you please recommend a technique/plug-in for fattening out a vocal (once the De-Verb has taken out the echo from the half-hall room)? Thank you, DC

  • Re: How many audio panels?

Hi Job, Thank you for getting back. Yes. now that I am properly looking at what can be done with the audio (reviewing all YouTube tutorials on all the plug-ins available in MC), it seems I am running out of panels. That compression and EQ can be handled from one is useful, but then there is also the De-Esser and Gateway (to lessen bg noise). I'm

  • How many audio panels?

Hi, What is the maximum amount of audio plug-in panels MC has on its audio mixer? I have five; is there a way to increase this? DC

  • Re: Barn doors in shot

Hi Dave, Thanks for the warning. I've typed in "Avid MC mask" in YouTube and come across a load of tutorials. May I ask, can you recommend an appropriate one? D.
