  • iNews: one user can't send mail

We have one user who can't send mail. (The F9 "full screen" mail, not the F8 one-liners) There is no error message -- the mail simply is never delivered. Doesn't seem to matter who the addressee is. (they don't work when sent to me; I successfully receive plenty of mail from other users) We do have a relatively new system, installed

  • Re: QT files import with black video

Best I can tell the 4.9.0.1 I already have installed is the newest plugin available for P2 media. I suspect our editor is going to need to learn to live with the Vantage:)

  • QT files import with black video

I have some QuickTime files obtained from our corporate HQ which are absolutely refusing to import. The audio is fine but the video is black. There are no errors thrown (not even in the Console) when this material is imported. I can't link it from Source Browser, I get "Cannot be linked" if I try. MediaInfo says they're 1920x1080x59

  • Airspeed 5000: can't connect to System Director

I'm trying to get an Airspeed 5000 working with an existing ISIS/Interplay/Newscutter system. It replaces an old Airspeed MultiStream which suffered a drive failure. One of our sister stations had the 5000 available. Problem is, I can't connect to the System Director. When the Airspeed process starts, I get an "Enter Network Password"

  • MC 8.7.2 & AVC-Intra export?

Be gentle, I'm an engineer, not an editor:) I have a laptop editor running Media Composer 8.7.2 on Windows 7. We operate in 1080i/59.94, shooting AVC-Intra 50. The timeline video format is non-square pixels, 1440x1080. We are attempting to export the composition to a P2 card for import to our desktop editors. We're a TV station with an extensive

  • Re: Bin "drive" column blank

Yes, it's ancient:) An upgrade is in the works but I have to keep it going until then.. Turns out it indeed fell off the HAG. We're back in business...

  • Bin "drive" column blank

Newscutter 10.5.4.26735, running on Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit. We're using ISIS shared storage. (Access version 2.7.5.33065 & ISIS Client 4.6.0.12200) There are roughly 20 editing workstations on the system, and they're all working except one .... On the confused workstation... if I drag anything from the Interplay Tool into a bin... it comes

  • Re: New Assist client can't see media

Turns out that part of the issue was that Media Indexer installs as a separate client - I thought it installed with the rest of the Framework. So I can now attach to the HAG; I no longer get the can't find Media Indexer error; and if I click in the timeline in the monitor window I do see a still from the clip, as appropriate for where in the timeline

  • Re: New Assist client can't see media

    - "Have you setup the framework correctly?" Probably not..... - "...MI Connection URL setting in the Interplay Administrator tool." I can't find this.. I mean, I can navigate the Interplay Administrator tool but I don't see anything about the Media Indexer in it. - "Have you disabled the firewall on the client?"

  • New Assist client can't see media

We have an ISIS/Interplay system with roughly 20 editing clients and a similar number of Assist clients, all of which work fine and have done so for years. We are attempting to add a new Assist client. I have installed the ISIS client, the Framework, Access, and then Assist. ISIS works fine. When I run Assist, I get "Could not connect to the Media
