    Doing the equivalent on Windows (after figuring out where the cache directories are hidden there) got the Application Manager to log in again, but it still shows nothing under 'Apps' or 'Licensing', even though it shows my Media Composer subscription under 'Account'. Restarting the App Man Helper or clearing the cache files through

    BTW, Wireshark shows it connecting to an Avid server and sending a bunch of HTTP requests and getting XML responses, but it never actually manages to 'sign in'.

    Mine no longer logs in, either. I updated to the latest Media Composer, and the Application Manager now asks me to log in every time I boot Windows, then just sits there displaying its spinning icon thingie until I shut the computer down. I've left it for hours, and it never logs in or displays an error.

    If you ever figure out what the problem is, let us know. Hopefully I've got a year until I have to get the dongle updating working again.

    Yeah, the update dongle option mysteriously disappeared as soon as I installed 8.10. Media Composer is also no longer listed under 'Apps'. In fact, nothing is.

    OK, I uninstalled Application Manager and Media Composer, then installed Application Manager 2.5.12 and Media Composer 8.7.2, and lo! as if by magic, the dongle update option reappeared. After updating the dongle, I upgraded Application Manager to the latest version, and the dongle update option is still there. But I wouldn't bet on still having

    Yeah, I eventually found it hidden under 'Preferences', which made no sense to me. I noticed in the logs that it's trying to find some directories that don't exist when it starts up, but creating those made no difference. Sadly, after renewing my subscription and getting yet another dongle updater for next year, even the old version

    So, I solved the immediate problem of updating the dongle. I found the old installers on my hard drive, and reverted to a version of the Application Manager and Media Composer in 2016, so the license check passed. That then showed me the 'update dongle' option in Application Manager and allowed me to update the dongle. However, after doing that
