    It looks like it won't let me re-instate my subscritpion because I didn't purchase from Avid. Now I have to go through the trouble of getting a refund from VideoGuys. No wonder editors are fleeling Avid.

    I purchased a subscription renewal via VideoGuys. I havend had to upgrade/renew in a while. Avid's website gets more and more confusing. I tried to enter the code, only to be informed I need to enter in on a different page because it's a subscription renewal and not an upgrade. I have no Idea if the code was applied to may account or not. I

    Last year (sometime in the fall) I upgraded to Media Composer 8 on my desktop computer (it worked). I use a dongle. I have not renewed my supscription when it expired at the end of December. It has been a while since I used Avid. Eariler today I powerd up my laptop for the first time in months. it's a macbook pro with bootcamp. I run windows 7 on

    Success! It seems it was unable to validate because the "company name" listed was blank. I am a home user. Years ago, I must have typed "home" for company. Typing "home" for company validated my account. I was able to apply my upgrade code and now I'm on hold.

    I'm in the US and am having the same problem. First it could not verify my account. Now it states my account cannot be used with the web store. I ended up purchasing the update from videoguys.com. I am unable to enter the code and download the software. I emailed Marianna. I also spoke with support twice on the phone (even got a case #). They say

    Support said there is a bug in my account and they're working on it. Tried to use my code and got: Verify your account Sorry, your account can't be used in Avid Store. Please contact the Customer Support team.

    Got my upgrade code from videoguys and Avid still can't verify my account. Now I have to email you know who. Been a registered user since 2003. Great system they got going here.

    Thanks for the reply. I ordered from Videoguys but have not received an email. I know it's Christmas Eve, so I do not expect anything to happen right away. My only concern is I'm going away the day after Christmas and won't be back until January 2nd. The only internet access will be through my phone. I wish I could have at least gotten some
