• Re: Linking to Audio Network WAV fails
No error but no sign of the ANW1501_06_Denouement linked clip So I suspect MC is seeing something in the metadata that makes it think they are the same source file. But not sure what.
It's the UMID. They are the same in these two files. With Linked Media Management off and neither of the files linked

  • Re: Linking to Audio Network WAV fails

If you have MediaInfo, take a look at these two files. The UMID is the same. Avid uses this as a unique file id so it is very confused about these two files. Try deleting the two links. Go to Settings > User > Link > Volume Mounting and uncheck Enable Linked Media Management. You have to close and reopen MC. Alt Drag just Blackened and you

  • Re: Quicktime Reference Replacement Workflow
Mixdown the timeline to a flat Audio and video track in the desired output resolution. Do a SAS export (very quick)
I feel like the SAS export is part of legacy QuickTime and will also be gone in the future. Am I wrong about that? I don't see anything like it in the new Options... > MOV export.
Greetings. Got 2020.4 loaded. Quicktime Reference Export is no longer an option.
If you really still want to use it, it is still available. "QuickTime Reference" is the second option from the top in Options... > Export As:. Seems best to look for a new workflow as Avid has said that legacy

  • MC2020.4 MOV export Timecode issue

On Win 10 1903. Have been looking forward to trying the ProRes on Windows. From a 1080p23.976 project I did a MOV ProRes LT Export with 6 audio tracks and a Data Track with Captions. My first goto is still Quicktime because it will show Timecode and Captions. My Avid timeline starts at 01:00:00:00. QT displays 3600 where the timecode would normally

  • Re: DNxHD 90 files linked as Avid DNx Codec rather than DNxHD 90

The Avid Console often shows what it doesn't like about the file. Doesn't do you much good though...

I'm not sure about that bug but this is in the Readme's for 2019.6 & .7. Sounds like what you have in 2018.12.6. Limitations: Listed below are the known limitations in Media Composer v2019.6. - Enable 3rd Party Emulation Warning: If you launch a project and receive an "Enable 3rd Party Emulation" warning, even if you select Enable

  • Re: Export as H.264
These two values do not seem to be compatible.
It's not that they aren't compatible, as L4.1 must decode all lower levels. Avid is encoding the level that meets your settings, with no options to change it. HandBreak, set to Level:Auto, also results in L4 but HandBreak will encode at a level of

  • Re: Export as H.264

From your link (but the English version) I read that L4 should decode a maximum of 20Mb/sec for 1920x108025p. L4.1 should decode a maximum of 50Mb. An Avid encode of 20Mb results in Main@L4.1 per MediaInfo. It doesn't look like you are doing anything wrong.

  • Re: Import or relink XDCAM
Could someone tell me why Avid always skip the settings when you import an XDCAM HD codec?
One reason Avid might ignore your Media Creation settings for XDCam HD is that it is an Avid Native codec. If you are doing a "legacy Import" and your project frame size and framerate match the file and you are
