  • Weird export issue. H.264 export

Hello Avid world, So I am having the issue of exporting my 8 minute sequence out of Avid. It is only taking about 5mins to export. My issue is why does it keep re exporting by its self. Is that somekind of bug that needs to be fixed in the next update? I am guessing the only work around is the export...

  • MC 7.0.5 + XDCam EX export workflow help!

Hello All, We are using MC 7.0.5 (w Symphony option) on an HP Z400 Quad Core 3.07Ghz w 6GB RAM. We are trying to export a 30 minute timeline with the XDCam Ex media AMA linked. This is not a final export, mind you, but a simple screener for our story producers to watch and write notes with. Understanding...

  • Re: Export timeline as H.264

Folks: I seem to recall being aboe to export an AVI under H264... I need something high quality but NOT in Quicktime format (as the cable station cannot play these on-air). The clips I am creating are around five minutes long, so everytime I try to export uncompressed AVI I get an error that I've...

  • Avid MC 6 eating Mac HD space with hidden temporary export stuff!

Hello all! I have recently finished work on a feature film. We are now editing our way through the DVD extras etc. I cannot however export, or even save my project anymore because I have a critical lack of space on the default Hard Drive. I am sure this is due to export shells being saved in a default...

  • 5D Mark II Export Issues

Hi, All, I'm new to Avid MC (switching from FCP). I'm working on a project that was shot on the Canon 5D Mark II, but when I bring the footage into Avid via AMA and then export it, the exported footage doesn't look like the original footage. I've tried setting my project to both YCbCr...

  • Exporting to H264 from DNX175x vs. DNX36

This may be a stupid question, but in setting up a workflow for a film, we are considering working completely in DNX175 rather than DNX36. My concern is that since I will be exporting a lot of viewable QT files for approvals and viewing, it will take a lot longer to make those exports fro the higher...

  • Re: Bad color/contrast level export H264

I know it's 2 1/2 years later, but this problem STILL exists. Export a Quicktime movie using h.264 from Avid, and it looks terrible! Note that this is with RGB, not 601/709. If I export either DNxHD or ProRes, it looks great. If I then transcode either of those to an h.264 using Compressor, they...
