  • MC5 & (Yes, you read it right) Canon XL H1 Question.

I know this has been asked, but I can't really get a straight answer, and I'm in a bit of a bind...Does MC5 capture 24F from my Canon XL H1. or not? If so, how do you do it, without MC5 freezing/locking up? I know i should shoot 24P on some other unit, but I had to use what I had. Any work arounds...

  • Capturing 24p Video with the Canon Vixia HV30

Sorry, I know this issue has come up ten thousand times in these forums, but none of them seem to come to a real, encompassing solution. Here goes: I have the Canon HV30. Great consumer camera, captures great video, 24p looks awesome, so on. If I switch the output to DV (even though I shot HDV 24p video...

[quote user="itmatters"] [quote user="kamm"] Last week I checked MC3.0 and there's no sign of a proper, during-capture inverse telecine - will this *ever* be implemented? Did anyone notice at Avid that now you can get a pretty decent quality HDV Canon etc for B-roll from $1k....

  • Re: Any news on HD(V) pulldown removal...?

[quote user="Dom Q. Silverio"] Is the pulldown removal real time during capture or is it a seperate step (a la Log and Capture + Compressore in FCP) for Edius, Cineform, and FCP? My guess, it is a pain in HD because you are handling more data thus the overhead is much bigger. With HDV's...

  • Capturing using HDV Camera

Hi all, I purchased Avid Media Composer in November and set it up to digitize footage from my Canon XH A1 Camcorder. This has been going well and I have managed to digitize on the fly as it doesnt allow me to batch edit with this cam so i usually just play from the cam, select Video and A1/A2 from the...

Wow, this forum engine is truly a crap when it comes to links - it's 2008 and we have reached the general level of forum engines circa 2003. Amazing.

  • Capturing 24p or 30p HDV

Just purchased a Canon HV-30, capturing some beautiful images on a $1,000 camera. I shot both 24p and 30p for comparisons. How the hell do I properly capture this stuff into my MC/Adrenaline? It doesn't appear Avid even supports 24p or 30p HDV in the project types. Any insight?
