  • M2T Browser/Player

Hello, Please recommend an application where I can quickly browse by thumbnail & play m2t clips. Currently we're using VLC to play, but no thumbnail previews. We shoot HDV with Sony Z7, Z1. Thanks

  • Need help importing my FCP captured videos into MC

Im making the switch from Final Cut Pro 7 to Avid and I want to import/transcode all my footage libraries to Avids MXF wrapper so I can manage the media. All my footage was captured in FCP as HDV, which was ideal for my needs most of the time since we shoot a lot of training videos with hour on hours...

  • Splitting an M2T File

Kumusta! (Hello) This is a very useful and free solution if you want to import just a portion of a long HDV clip (m2t file). I saw this from an old post in DVinfo.com 1. Get MPEG StreamClip (free!) -- http://www.squared5.com/ 2. Open your source m2t file 3. Mark/crop the part you need - (I/O) 4. Save...

  • What software is good to capture HDV, and then import into Avid?

I'm having big problems capturing my 30 tapes shot in HDV to Avid, as the capture tool keeps aborting due to the many blank spots I have on my tapes (lacks of progress), so I want to try capturing using another software and then import it all to Avid. Can you recommend a software that would capture...

  • Re: Trying to import Mpeg2HDLong35Mbps into PC Avid

If its HDV originated (captured from HDV camera or HDV camera CF card recorder) then Avid should fast import it. If the file extension is not M2T just change it. Then import footage to Avid. Clip Browser is for rewrapping (or transcoding) files originated in XDcam EX only. These are in MP4 container...

  • Best Tapeless Solution

Hello, I'm seriously rethinking our current DV/HDV workflow. We've been experiencing a lot of problems batch capturing HDV. XDCAM is awesome but a bit expensive. -What is the best mid-budget HD acquisition format for Avid today? - I like Sony cameras. The NXCAM looks really nice. How does it...

  • Re: SONY Z7U 1080 PROGRESSIVE M2T IMPORT?

So, does MC 3.5 have a NEW project type called 1080p/23.976 HDV, or is this new HDV format supported in the old 1080p/23.976 project type? This is important because in the old 1080p/23.976 project type, you would be able to easily mix shots from other formats like XDCAM & HDCAM. But if there's...

  • Import issues

Hiya, Im trying to import a video off a Sony HDV FX1, and the first time it imported a clip for three minutes before a message appears saying " Capture aborted due to lack of progress the media captured to this point may be unusable and/or incomplete" i tried again with a few methods, and now...

  • Re: Sony HVR-Z7U and MC 3.x

Thank you Sycophant for the response. Any idea what speed those RED CF cards are rated? just curious. I ran some tests with a friend of mine who owns the s270 which uses the MRC1 recording unit. Here are my findings: 1. No answer yet. I haven't used the z7u. 2. The hi-def M2T files from the CF Card...
