• Re: Can I change mono audio tracks to stereo?
OK, I see what you're getting at. You're not generating new stereo clips; you're replacing the dual mono clips with the equivalent stereo clips, and you want top keep the effects etc. of the dual mono clips on the stereo clip.
Exactly! No more, nor...

  • Re: Can I change mono audio tracks to stereo?

It's true that you do, in fact, get a stereo audio track with everithing included, but it's not editable . You loose the every cut, every effect, every plug-in, volume and pan controls of the original media and pretty much everything you could do with the original 2 mono tracks. On the other...

  • Re: Can I change mono audio tracks to stereo?

I think that the idea is to be able to simply "merge" 2 mono tracks into 1 stereo track, in the timeline, without the need to change multitrack settings and applicable to ay kind of clip, regardless if it is a linked clip, or imported. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, right now, Media Composer...

  • Stereoscopic EDL left and right not working

We created S3D clips inside the AVID with 2 seperate streams created by redcine. We are working in MC 7/8. The problem is that the EDL manager works fine when choosing 'monoscopic’, so I have an EDL from the leading eye (left). But when choosing 'S3D Left' or 'S3D Right’ it...

  • Audio track in timeline

Brand new user from FCP7. This one is easy... I think. I'm using the trial version now but want to move to Avid. Basically because I hate FCPX, and it looks like Apple is giving up on 7 totally. On Avid...When I import pix and audio, the audio comes in stereo as expected... two tracks. But they act...

  • Do I need to pan interleaved stereo tracks?

Hey all, Working on MC6, coming out of ProTools 9, got an interleaved stereo track from the re-record mixer, as well as the 5.1 stems. If I Import the interleaved Stereo file and dump in onto the timeline, it becomes two mono-tracks (apparently) panned center, but they definitely are definitely independent...
