I have had SO many problems with the video engine causing hangs, making my system unresponsive and even somehow making my interface act strange. I never had these issues before I moved from music to picture. Even optimizing as per Avid’s guide has only helped marginally.

Wondering if there any alternatives. I saw a video of someone using Bluecat Patchwork with a plugin called Vidplayer VST to play a video from within a track rather than the avid video engine.

Has anyone here tried that? I’ll drop money right now if that’s a viable work around.
