Hey Philip,
Just going to chime in...
This thread is for Xpress Pro, which was end of life at least 10 years ago. Also, the thread itself is about 17 years old. Just sayin.

Hi armaniharvey, You should create a case on the MyAvid support portal and someone will get to you asap. https://www.avid.com/US/support/support-contact If you don't get anywhere with them, send an email to Chris Bové (chris.bove@avid.com) and Raff Condalor (raff.condalor@avid.com). They are Avid's customer advocates, and can help you

Hi Greg, I would open the project, then open the media tool and display all the media associated with the project. Then I'd select it all and consolidate it to the new drive. Or if you already know all the media on the old drive needs to go to the new one, you could just copy the Avid MediaFiles folder from the old drive to the new one.
we have all moved on
Not to be snarky, but this is the PC forum, and Windows users can still use the legacy title tool. I'm avoiding Titler+ with all my strength.

This used to work. I don't know if it still does (and I'm not in front of a machine to test it), but it's worth a try: https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/troubleshooting/en238241

You're welcome! I'm glad I could help!

Does First have the paint effect? If so you can draw a black rectangle over the entire frame, then draw an oval on top of it and set the oval to 'erase' and feather the edges.

I've seen this question a number of times. The answer is always to set the playback quality to the highest setting before export, but I've never seen any actual evidence or an answer from Avid to confirm this. If you want an official answer your best bet is to email Chris Bove (chris.bove@avid.com) or Raff Condalor (raff.condalor@avid.com).

I'd duplicate the shot without the effect on it and lay it on the video layer above. Then I'd use Animatte to matte out everything except for the person's arm for the portion of the shot where the clone effect is masking it on the layer below.
